What is a Wine Heretic?

A Wine Heretic is one who dissents from an accepted belief, as in the old adage "ratings make a wine." We Heretics are willing to deviate from the norm while partaking of wine, food, spirits and entertainment.

San Diego's original Wine Heretic, John Alonge, is a notable wine expert, author, wine-maker, restaurateur, professional speaker and general wealth of information when it comes to having a good time with culinary and adult beverage experiences.

What Happens at a Wine Heretic's Social Club Event?

The Wine Heretic has been offering various group programs and team building events to Corporate America for many years. The Wine Heretic's Social Club has been created to bring these fun and exciting programs to the consumer market in a fun and exciting social environment.

Each Wine Heretic's Social Club Event will include a unique social component (Urban Winery Experience, Wine & Culinary Game Show, Blend Your Own Wine, Wine Label Making, Wine & Culinary Olympics—and more).

You will also experience great wines and creative culinary concepts while meeting new friends or enjoying the ones you brought with you.

Where are the Events and How Often Do You Have Them?

A big part of why we have so much fun is because we have different event venues all of the time. And, another part of the fun, is that we don't have regularly scheduled events, we schedule one when we have a good combination of an exciting program and a great venue. This could be weekly, but we strive to have at least one event each month.

What is the Cost to Become a Wine Heretic?

There is NO COST to become a member of The Wine Heretic's Social Club, but each event will have a cost that is commensurate with the experience. We will always strive to make our events as affordable as possible so we can gain momentum that will translate into better wine prices for all of us.

What are the Benefits of Becoming a Wine Heretic?

First and foremost, you will be invited to fun and exciting wine & culinary oriented events with like minded people. Next, you are eligible to participate in our Heretic's Pick's Quarterly Wine Shipment Club — enjoying great wines at great prices. We also have plans to introduce our LIPS (Limited Internet Pricing Specials) wine closeout offerings—you know, from our LIPS to yours!
